Leon and Mamie Hiller added the bay window to the second floor of their building at 105 E. Bremer Ave in 1898; they lived in the upstairs of the building at that time. That may have been the occasion for the photo. Looking north from E. Bremer Ave. between 1st and 2nd Streets. Hiller's was a long-time clothing establishment. When Mr. Hiller had a sale it often read "Hiller's pants are down."
