Mrs. Carrie Swinton. Slaton, Minn. Plainfield, Dec. 10th, 1910.
"Dear Carrie, suppose you got home O.K. Am not to Roaches now as Grandma broke her hip a week ago last Thursday, as I had come here. Aunt Anna stays here nights but goes home in the daytime. She is getting along all night but is awfully hard for her to live in one position all the time. The Dr. thinks the bones have to knit now but it will possibly be a long time before she can get up. Might you folks to write to her and don't forget it. Bernie."
