Circus parade on E. Bremer between 2nd and 3rd Sts. Same parade as Acc. 90N0007. The Phoenix block at left was built in 1884 following a fire which destroyed the frame buildings previously on the sight. The fire occurred in January and the firemen had to first thaw the hoses before they could fight the fire. The old elm tree was finally cut down in 1930 when J.C. Penney Co. built on the lot. It was by then one of the few remaining native trees on Bremer Ave. Accession No 90N0006
