Date: pre-1950; Street paving; Resurfacing on the old Bremer Avenue bridge. Truck sides appear to be wood or wood and metal. Have found no mention of resurfacing in the 1930s, bit find different photo of resurfacing in 1945. The truck in the photo could be a 1930s truck. During the 1st half of the 1940s production focused an vehicles of war, so vehicles that were in good shape or could be repaired didn't go to a junk yard. An article describing a resurfacing of the bridge appeared in the Waverly Democrat; 31 August 1945p1 referred to spreading a pre-mix over a tarred surface. The process took 3 days, so traffice was diverted to the bridge on 3rd St. S.E.
