This was the scene looking north alongside 1st St. S.E. the Reineke, later Lavell, studio was just off the picture to the left. It may be that one of those gentlemen took the shot from their location. The Waverly Post Office was located in the back portion of the building with the 1st Nat'l Bank in the front end. The bank on the left was then known as the Waverly Savings Bank. The two banks later merged and used the building to the right.
