Waverly Newspaper, July 29, 1986. The Koehring plant as seen from the east end. The plant was started by Vern and Wilbur Schield at the end of WWII. For truck cabs they bought military surplus trucks. Some even still had gas in the tank. Initially, they operated out of a building north of Waverly then built the plant on SE 12th St. Adding as the need arose.
