Photo of the wreck of a Rock Island passenger train at Flood Creek near Packard, Iowa, on 2 Jun 1916. Sixteen people died when the weight of the train collapsed the trestle over Flood Creek after it had been weakened by heavy rains. According to the a Des Moines paper the weather was so back it was difficult accurate information was hard to obtain for a time.
Note on back of post card read 1914.[That is and error.] The card was post marked Sept. 20, 1916, From Greene, Iowa. Lola Thompson may have been a passenger.
