Waverly Newspaper, 1980s. This home was built by Dr. William A. Rohlf in 1913. He and his wife had no children so the large home had a number of sitting rooms rather than many bedrooms. The house is much as it was when new (written in Feb 1990s). In 1989, when the home was opened to a tour during the Heritage Fest, many of the original pieces of furniture were found in the attic along with the original blueprints. SW 2nd St at 1st Ave on southeast corner. The outside walls were of gray concrete. Later it was painter red and later still red siding was installed. Following the death of Lottie Rohlf in 1965 the house was sold to Bob and Delores Coonradt.
