Downtown Chrysler opened in this building on SW 1st St. in the 1960's. This view is looking southeast. The building is located just north of 1st. Ave Sw. In the 1970's, the city bought the building and converted it to a fire station by adding a wing to the north on the back portion of the building. The building had been constructed with open area for displaying cars. This made it possible to park fire trucks inside. 1960's.
