Churches - Rural; Fires. The St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Seigel burned on October 11, 1990. Firemen were unable to save the church but did save the neighboring parsonage. The parishioners later voted to build a new church in Tripoli. The church building was built about 1929 although the congregation dates back to 1871. Source: Waverly Public Library
