Movie Theaters. This picture was taken on the occasion of the theater owner announcing his intention to close due to poor business. The theater did close but reopened in a very short time. Location: On the south side of E. Bremer just east of the bridge. The building was built in 1926 and known as the Community Building because it was built by subscription and the help of the local fraternal organizations. The lower level was originally l-r: a theater, store front and nearest the river was the post office. Upstairs the stairs divided halfway up, one side going to the hall for one group and the other side to another hall for a different organization.
