Photographer: Herbert. E. Coddington. The Short Line left the depot on Bremer Ave. Just west of the bridge and met the main line of the Illinois Central at Waverly Junction. Nearby a park called Riverside was developed. A pavilion was built. It was a popular spot for picnics and for camping. These young men are waiting ( with their fishing poles) for the train at the park. Not the campers did not travel light, a trunk apiece. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No 93B0014
