Cedar River; Dams. When the water is low children can fish or frolic from the lip of the dam. On this day the river is so low that at a spot on the far right they can almost stand and barely get their feet wet. Looking from the west bank at the power plant, tail race wall, back of the Winner building, back of #89 E. Bremer, and the Big Six. The wall was demolished in 2025 when the new bridge was built. The Winner build partially collapsed and then was razed due the 1999 flood.Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 90N0348.
