Joe Grawe Collection. late 1950's. Ted Bany opened the Waverly Implement Co. in the building across from the post office in 1941. The building was remodeled in 1945l Staff included Otto Wegner and Ed Stout. In addition to International Harvester machinery they also sold toys and International Harvestor items. Another employee was Roland Harmening. His daughter remembers a certain Christmas when she saw a childs accordian in the store and so wanted it. "I cried until I was sure 'Santa' would bring it!"
