From the Waverly Democrat of 13 May 1955:
"Tim Kerwin, one of the first youngsters to get a saucer when the planes dropped them last Tuesday, wore a happy smile as he walked home with his trophy."
The saucers were dropped over downtown Waverly as a promotion by local merchants; each one entitled the finder to a prize at a local store. The photo was taken at the corner of E. Bremer Ave. and 3rd St. SE.
