Ernie Gabe's auto repair shop was located in 316 W. Bremer in 1985. When the former gas station building at #322 W. Bremer became available in 1992 he moved his business to the corner. Ernie's Auto Shop remained there until he retired at the end of 2008. Demolition of the entire block soon made room for Walgreen's and its parking lot.
