Looking southeast from W. Bremer at about 7th Ave. Kentucky Fried Chicken remodeled a gas station building and then opened in December 1972. It later razed the building and put a new structure. The restaurant went out of business in April 1996. Taco John's took over the building. The popcorn stand was for many years run by Otto Hartman who lived next door.
