The energy efficient addition to the north plant was built for office area when the staff moved out of the west plant [later the site of the Waverly Public Library.]
The quarter circle portion of the Waverly Light & Power north plant was begun in June 1951 and completed early in January 1992. The design provided for easy grade level access to all day to day operation functions for both employees and the public. It also included energy conservation features.
The address when it was built was 1002 Horton Road but changed when the street was renamed.
The structure in the background is the Farmers Coop.
