The church in the foreground (First Presbyterian Church) was dedicated in 1891 and was in service for 32 years. The salvation army later purchased the building, then demolished it. This church was built from a single boulder.
The spire in the background on the right is of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in 2026 called Queen of Peace. This building was built in 1901.
