Mary Cheville Collection. The local Three Rivers Isaak Walton League developed Three River Park in early 1972. Known locally as the "Duck Pond" it served as a cooling pond for north light plant. The wind machine was suppose to keep the water moving and prevent stagnation, At the time of this photo the water was too low for it to operate properly. Location: 1 St. N.W. just southeast of bridge. The pond was a popular place for little one to learn fishing skills.
