Schlutsmeyer & Strotman store. The photo was taken at 120 E. Bremer, the T.C. Aldrich building which was built in 1870. Mr. Aldrich collaborated with Thomas Lashbrook to build two buildings with the same design (118 and 120 E. Bremer). They held their Blue Figure Sale in the fall of 1890. Strotman retired in 1903. Man in the center is Mr. Schlutsmeyer. L-r: Will Strotman, Henry Schlutsmeyer, Dan Mether. This photo was probably taken in the Fairfield building (Now in 1990 the west half of Stauffer drug store.) Strotman retired in 1903, so the photo most likely was taken prior to that date.
Additional information: Schultsmeyer & Strotman advertised their Blue Figure Sale in the fall of 1890.
