Bremer County Independent, Sept 30, 1986, p; Dedication of high school victory bell. Barb Harkin, widow of Joe Harken, spoke at the dedication of the bell given in his name. The new victory bell was obtained by the previous student body from the Bremer church when it closed its doors.
