"Among the agencies working with Clean-Up Week groups in Waverly was the Waverly volunteer fire department, interested in the clean-up activities because of the reduction of fire hazards. The city fire truck made several trips up and down Bremer avenue carrying this large sign in order to help call attention to the week. Les Thies is driver, while Marshal Burton Bolton and Carl Homan, fire chief, are standing on the truck."
