Waverly Newspaper. Bill Graening [possibly C.J. Brodie?] and J.M. (John Mortimer) Hazlett (father of Harold who identified men). Both men worked in the courthouse. According to his biography in a History of Bremer County Iowa Vol. II 1914, Bill Graening was deputy county treasurer from 1900 to 1901. In the November 1900 election C.J. Brodie was elected county recorder.
