Waverly Newspaper, April 15, 1968. Northwest Waverly from the river to second street can be seen in this picture. Crystal Ice & Plumbing was in the building next to the river just up from the bridge. Carnation's north and south plants, the old Sugar Beet factory and the Farmer's Co-op are all included. The sugar beet factory built soon after the turn of the century was torn down after this picture was taken. The triangular area center left was used as a junk yard. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 91N0059.
