The Chapter of Commerce worked on the project to place the mail drop boxes along the alley across the street from the post office. Removing them from directly in front of the post office (behind the pole), allowed more parking spaces. for patrons who wished to go inside. Looking southwest from the alley just south of Bremer Avenue from across 2nd St. They moved again straight south to the other half of the block in what now is a parking lot. St. Mary's Catholic church [since removed] and Kaiser Corson Funeral Home.
