Interior of a grocery store. Seven women, one man, and one child. Fresh fruit is displayed behind the women. Candy rack is in front of the women. The checkout counter has a cash register and adding machine.
Sign advertises cigarettes by the carton. Another sign advertises candy and bars 6 for 25 cents and 3 for 25 cents. Display advertises a Tootsie Roll for 1 cent. Some of the other items for sale: bananas, apples, baskets, Luden's,
Bit-O-Honey, Clorets, Hershey, and candy cigarettes. A Halloween pumpkin scarecrow can be seen behind the women.

Agree it was sometime in the ‘50s. Mary was in my high school class of ‘47, so estimate the age of the boy in her arms and you’ll be close.
I remember going there with my mom, but I don't remember much about what the store looked like inside....way too young & shy to remember much. I do remember my mother saying that Mr. Mckliget was a very nice man!
I recognize Jim and Ruth McKliget, who owned the grocery store, their daughters, Mary Norton, and Anne Avery. I would say this picture was taken in 1961
