The photo shows the youth center where Waverly youth could play ping pong, pool, or pinball. It was located in the basement of the Community Building. It was leased from the Chamber of Commerce with the Jaycees in charge of the operation. Financed in part by the Community Chest it was open to all high school students with occasional events for junior high students. At one point the building was used by the UAW as a meeting hall.
