This photo was delivered personally to the library by Don Huston, former editor of the Waverly newspapers. He said it was reputedly of the first Boy Scout troop in Waverly. The various articles in the early papers are a bit murky. One name that appears repeatedly in 1912 as organizer and leader is Rev. L. D. Stubbs, a Methodist minister. He apparently remained as scoutmaster until he was assigned to another church. At this point there is no positive proof this is that same group.
Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 18A0072
