Date of photo: May 1971. 315 W. Bremer: The Waverly Laundry was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Chauncy Moffet for many years in the same location. Mr. Moffet died about a month before this picture was taken and Mrs. Moffet moved to Bartels. The building was purchased by Waverly Newspapers and blended into their building at #311. 319 W. Bremer: based on a similar photo of the conversion of the laundromat into the Sir Lounge.. The lounge and restaurant very soon turned into a bar with a rather risqué reputation. Looking southwest on W. Bremer and 4th. Once the lounge closed it was taken over by a church congregation. 321 W. Bremer: This building was a small free standing building, resembling one in a food court. It sat back aways and at an angle on the corner just far enough it is not seen in this view.. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 01N0001
