Westendorf's DX had new underground tanks installed in 1990. By 1999 it was one of, perhaps the only, non chain gas station in Waverly. At some point the DX sign came down and Petro Stop went up. Soon the business name was Westendorf Auto and it was converted to a repair only business. Before Westendorf's it was [Ed] Platte's DX 1943 to 1960 when he sold the station to Milt Westendorf.
