This house was built as the residence of the president of Wartburg College by Carver Lumber. It faces east on 8th St. NW. Since the time of this photo it has been incorporated into a dorm complex. It was completed in late summer of 1951 It was known simply as "The Residence." The house was incorporated into a dorm in 1987 and as of 2024 it still stands.
