Scanned from "Cedar Falls, Iowa, City Beautiful - Cedar Falls Views Consisting of Over One Hundred Recent Photographs made by A. W. Van Cleave, Commercial Photographer, Cedar Falls, Iowa." This book was anonymously donated to the Cedar Falls Historic Preservation Commission.
The signage says, "Iowa Gate Company - Clay - Stalls, Stanchions, Animal Pens - Steel Barn Equipment - Adjustable Steel Farm Gates - Lawn Fencing, Ornamental Arches."
For the Iowa Gate Company, the 1923 Cedar Falls city directory says, "J. B. Clay - president; J. H. Meyer - secretary. North Main and Clay Avenue."
The Building no longer exists. It would have been approximately along the river where North Main becomes Lincoln Street.
