From a postcard dated 13 Apr 1911 which states that this snowfall happened the week before. The photo shows 2nd St. NW (then Elm St) looking south from the intersection with 3rd Ave NW. St. Paul's church is on the left. On the right are three houses: the house on the left belonged to Edward Knott and was built about 1870, the middle house was built by his son John in 1893, and the house on the far right was built by A.J. Wile in 1901. The John Knott house at 315 2nd St. NW and the A.J. Wile house at 321 2nd St. NW still exist; the Edward Knott house was demolished after the flood of 2008.
