Roy's Place sandwich restaurant was a favorite hangout for many for a great number of years. Even after the original owner sold it, the name stayed the same for a long time. Looking Northwest across W. Bremer in the 400 block. "Buff" Lester and Vern Homan took over the restaurant in 1945 and ran it until Oct. 1974.
The exact date of this photo is still unknown, but the "Air Conditioned" written on the wall might be a clue. Accession No. 01N0248
