Copy of postcard. Brick building occupied by H.G. Schell for many years as a grocery store. Later Corner Market (Grocery) and Gade's appliance store. Location: southeast lot of intersection of W. Bremer and 3rd st. Mr. Schell moved his grocery business into the building in October 1908. That would be a good guess for the date of the photo.

There is a person in the window wearing a white apron, like they used to wear in grocery business. It could be McKliggets or Chestnuts. Not sure myself.

223 W. Bremer [Compare to present bldg on Google maps], Prior to Sept 1922 since Mueller sold out about then and left town. H. G. bought the D. S. Sitzer bldg in 1907 and built the present building in 1908 where he opened his grocery store. Later Chestnuts occupied the store.
