Buildings - Brick/Stone. 89 E. Bremer located next to the bridge on the north side of the street. Built in 1908 by F. G. Clark, it was first occupied by a saloon. (The block had at one time been known as "Whiskey Row" because of the number of taverns in the block.) It was later a hardware store, a leather shop, a second-hand shop, and served as temporary tax preparation office and political office. The shingled awning common with the adjoining building was added in the 1960s or 70s. April 1990.
