For the 1st time in Bremer county a pickup baler was used to harvest soybean hay from windrows in a 25 acre field at the Will Mauer farm east of Readlyn. Walter Reinking of Artesian, owner of the outfit, is on top pf the baler using the fork; Junior Watts drives Mr. Mauer's tractor, and Ewald Bauer and Wilbert Lobeck are busy with the baler at right.
