Looking west from E Bremer and 2nd St. The board walkways across Bremer Ave. were placed to help people cross the street without sinking into the mud. The Curtis bilding on the left was erected in 1865 and the first National Bank on the south side at 1st St. (west end) was built in 1881; since the bank is not visible, the photo must have been taken btween those dates. Additional photographs and resources can be found at the Waverly Public Library on the local and family history page http://www.waverlyia.com/public-library/research/local-and-family-history-collection.aspx Accession No. 99A0024
