Photo was taken a couple of weeks prior to the razing of the building at 100 W. Bremer. Following the flood of 1999 and the death of the owner, the city bought the property and razed the building. At the same time 100 W Bremer was razed the house at the far right was being prepared for removal as seen by the missing chimney.
The intersection of W. Bremer and 1st St. NW. All of the buildings were empty at the time of the photograph. The white frame building on the corner was once Fritz grocery, McKliget's market, Midway grocery, and lastly Kohlmann's Shoe and Bicycle.
