Gasoline Alley was located on 1st St. S.E. facing west, between the alley and 1st Ave. The site is presently the parking lot for the Century Building. Gasoline Alley opened in Sept. 1936 under the management of Albert Klein. When Klein went out of business in Sept 1947, the city bought the lot. The station equipment was sold to Rex Bales for his planned town at the Jct. of Hwy 3 and 63.
