The tall structure at right above the house is the top of the Waverly Feed Mill which faced 1st St. The only home remaining #121 is the one barely seen at the far right. City hall along the river and its parking lot, a commercial structure [Rock Shop], and a wide 4 apartment building owned by Bremer County. The old fire station is beyond the trees on the left. The south side of the street is now a city parking lot with the exception of an apt. building on the east end. In 1943 near the tree [left] was where Glenn Winchell, walking his security check, was shot and killed by Stanley Kaster.
