Automobile Service Stations; Westendorf's DX. In 1990 he replaced two 30 year old tanks. Times changing then, but after a great deal of consideration replacements were installed. Bremer County Independent; July 3, 1990. By 2014 Waverly's choices for gasoline consisted of convenience stores and Milt. It was time to pull up his tanks. Milt and son Ed continued with the auto repair business. Eventually Milt retired and Ed continued the business till his retirement. The building is still standing at 309 E. Bremer Avenue as of Feb. 2026.
