Waverly Newspaper. Carnation's south plant looked like this photo when seen from the NW. Taken about 1961 the structure is very much like it was in the 1948 photo. Two changes, however, are the water towers are gone and the warehouse on the far right has been added. The Cedar River is hidden by the trees on both banks. The 1st building on the left [with 3 doors] was the receiving area for the milk. The adjacent one was where the milk was turned to butter. The section below the chimney held the dryers. Next was the packing building. And soon after, came the warehouse.
