1984/5. Looking northwest from 4th St. and W. Bremer. The Bremer County Historical Museum was originally a hotel on a stagecoach route. It was built in 1862 by Andrew Dailey. It was at various times the "pill factory", a fertilizer warehouse., offices. Next door was in 1985 Tillie's Diner, the small diner was run by Ida Mae Tilford. The building west of Tillie's was, as it had been for many years, a residence. The next two properties underwent a conversion into more or less one front. A office and a house next reached the west corner of the block. A telephone booth is on the corner at far right.
