This project was by the DOT making changes to Hwy 3. They cut back the lot and put up a retaining wall in order to make changes in the elevation which was necessary to widen the curve. The same change affected SE 12th St. as the entrance was swung slightly east. The building has housed car dealerships where a Volkswagon to a Pontiac might be found. Then there were repair shops, and a bar and lounge. In 1988 the Open Bible church moved in to the remodeled the building and has remained there since.
