Photographer: staff photographer. The back of the picture says " Renovations #2" June 17, 1993. The Denim Patch and Elegant Woman painted and fixed up their rear entrance across the alley from the city parking lot. The Elegant Woman opened not too long before the B. E. Mick's. It replaced Ladies Plus Size which had been in the block to the west.
The denim patch focused on junior and youth fashions. Both businesses signed onto to the Main Street idea suggesting their back entrances were where a good number of the patrons entered the stores. It proved to be a good time to do it because Bremer Ave. was scheduled for paving and other improvements the following year.
