Waverly Newspaper, 1980s. Lawn ornaments on a lawn of the Ray and Jo Mehmen home on 6th Ave SE (just west of the 3rd St. bridge) appear to be crossing the river. Looking east. The white house on left belonged to a member of the Broadie family. The dark house was built by I. H. McDaniel, a former mayor and owner of the Bremer County abstract office. The bridge is the Harmon St., 3rd St. or Green--its name depends on your era.
