Lowell Atwood, Collins, IA, Top, far left. Alpha Delta Alpha Fraternity of Iowa State Teachers College.
Started Locally at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, this home grown Fraternity held eight chapters across Iowa and Indiana. In 1934 the Fraternity was disbanded at the national meeting in Cedar Falls, leaving chapters to self govern. Iowa State Teacher's college hosted them from 1923 to 1943, when faced with the WWII draft the Gamma chapter did not return to campus when Fraternities became active after the war.
