Pumping gas. Delbert Shepard at his Standard station on E. Bremer and 3rd St. SW. Built in 1930 with electric pumps, early managers were Jack Thorne, Woodleigh Wile and Art Kelling. Shepard took over about 1935. In 1940 it was remodeled and known as "Shep's" until he sold it to the McFarland brothers in 1969. Eventually, First National Bank bought it and razed it. It served as downtown green space for a time and then the building known as 301 E. Bremer was built.
